As an officer of the company, Carole Gaston's career at Bonner began in 1989 working on a clean air project for the Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Association (GM, Chrysler, Ford).  Their success on this project was so significant that examples of it are still used in our slide presentation to prospective clients to this day.

Before joining Bonner & Associates, Carole's career covered a variety of areas from the advertising/marketing arena.  Her strong writing skills proved a valuable resource when she was the account supervisor from her Nashville advertising and marketing firm (the second largest in the state of Tennessee) for the Republican National Committee (RNC) account.  She directed every phase of the Chairman's Report (RNC Annual Report) each year from concept and design to photography to copywriting to engraving to printing to timely delivery.  Her considerable organizational skills were utilized extensively when she was asked to coordinate Nashville events for former President Gerald R. Ford and for then-First Lady Nancy Reagan.

In 1984, she supervised the Reagan-Bush National Campaign for her firm, which involved concepting and following to completion all printed materials, which included brochures, newsletter, direct mail pieces, bumperstickers, buttons, banners, balloons.  Millions of these items were printed and distributed nationally under her direction.

The 1986 Governor's campaign in Tennessee found her serving as public relations consultant from her firm to the Republican candidate, traveling with him the entire year of the campaign and working with the media by coordinating media opportunities and debates.  During that year, she directed her staff in coordinating five major fundraising dinners throughout the state of Tennessee, successfully raising over $5 million for the campaign.

In 1988, Carole served as the Director of Sales on the New Orleans Convention Book for the RNC.  Her major responsibility not only involved supervising the eight members of the sales staff, but also required working with national advertisers such as Browning-Ferris Industries,    U. S. Sprint, AT&T, General Motors, National Association of Realtors as well as major contributors to the Republican Party such as T. Boone Pickens, Ann Asher, Lionel Hampton, Bob Hope, Charlton Heston, to name only a few.

While at Bonner & Associates, Carole has managed the national tour for the Bill of Rights which required that she travel to all fifty states twice!  During the 18 month life of this project, there were many weeks when she was in three states per week!  She was required to organize luncheons and opening day ceremonies for statewide community leaders in each state, and frequently coordinated the appearance of the Governor in the opening day ceremonies.  She has also managed accounts for Pacific Telesis, Dominion Energy, National Association of Realtors, Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Healthcare Leadership Council, The Business Roundtable, American Society of Anesthesiologists, General Dynamics, New York Life Insurance Company and Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Carole served on the Communications Staff of the 1984 Republican National Convention, the Finance Staff for the 1985 Committee for the 50th American Presidential Inaugural, the Communications Staff for the 1988 Republican National Convention, and she is listed in       1989 Who's Who of American Women.
